Short Description

The proposed Technical Committee (TC) is dedicated to leveraging innovative technologies and services to improve energy efficiency of mobility systems, especially on connected vehicles, and to promoting international multi-disciplinary collaborations in this area by organizing professional activities like regular stakeholder meetings, workshops/sessions in IEEE conferences, webinars, and special issues in IEEE transactions, etc.

Goal

The goal of this committee is to provide a platform that facilitates information exchanges, networking, and collaboration among researchers, developers, engineers, practitioners, policy-makers, and users, as well as distribution of cutting-edge technologies and the latest research findings in the area of energy-efficient connected vehicles. The committee also supports the commercialization of emerging technologies and applications, fostering innovation in energy-efficient solutions.

Activity Plan

  • Organize the special session at The IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC) on November 18–21, 2025–Gold Coast, Australia.
  • Organize The IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Rail Transportation (ICIRT) on October 11-12, 2025 at IV Seasons Yuyuan Hotel, Beijing, China.
  • Prepare to organize special issues on journals such as IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Open Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, etc.
