Chapter Activities

The chapter will undertake a range of impactful activities to advance ITS in India. It will organize both in-person and virtual workshops and webinars focused on themes such as “ITS for Mixed Traffic Environments” and “Leveraging AI for Road Safety in Smart Cities,” featuring hands-on sessions and expert panels spanning civil, electrical, and computer science engineering. To enhance educational outreach, IEEE ITSS content will be translated into Hindi and regional languages, improving access and understanding of ITS concepts among undergraduate and postgraduate students across Madhya Pradesh. A Young Reviewer and Researcher Program will be introduced to mentor early-career professionals in research methodologies and scientific publishing, while also linking them with global ITSS initiatives. Additionally, the chapter will implement a structured approach to mentor individuals and institutions in neighboring regions to establish new IEEE ITSS chapters, thereby expanding the network and fostering community growth.
