Short Description

The IEEE ITSS NSW Chapter, established in 2025, was founded in response to the growing need for stronger IEEE ITSS representation in Australia, particularly within New South Wales. The NSW region is home to several leading universities conducting cutting-edge research in Intelligent Transportation Systems, including the University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, University of Technology Sydney, University of Newcastle, and the University of Wollongong, among many others. Much of this work is carried out in close collaboration with government and industry partners and is actively being disseminated through a wide range of IEEE ITSS-related venues. The NSW Chapter serves as a central point of convergence for this research community, with the aim of uniting researchers, students, and practitioners, promoting collaboration, and supporting continued progress in advancing the ITS field across the NSW region.
