Chapter Activities

The chapter organizes technical and professional activities that advance knowledge and collaboration in intelligent transportation systems. These include seminars and lectures on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, electric mobility, and smart infrastructure, as well as hands-on workshops in transportation modeling and data analytics. The chapter promotes student engagement through competitions, mentorship programs, a Best PhD Thesis Award in Transportation to recognize outstanding research contributions, a Barrier-free Accessible Mobility Challenge that encourages inclusive transport solutions, and a Women in Mobility Symposium that advances diversity and leadership in the mobility sector. It also facilitates industry roundtables that connect researchers, policymakers, and mobility leaders, and supports conferences and knowledge dissemination initiatives that strengthen Saudi Arabia’s presence in the global intelligent transportation systems community.
