The IEEE ITS Technical University Student Branch Chapter was established in June 2024 with a purpose to provide a forum for the discussion and exchange of information to advance the theory, design, development, and application of intelligent transportation systems for the benefit of humanity.

• Local Chapter Officers Meeting – August 2024:  Chapter officers meeting to formulate strategic plan in line with IEEE ITS strategic plan and mission and to socialize.
• Membership Drive – September 2024:  Membership drive to educate students about IEEE ITS membership benefits, how to join and the strategic plans.
• Society Launch – November 2024 (22nd):  Official Society launch after a successful membership drive and awareness campaign at the Technical University of Kenya among other IEEE Student Branches.
• Distinguished Lecture – November 2024 (22nd):  DL during the official society Launch.
