Bio:
Minhae Kwon received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Ewha Womans University. She was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University and with the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. She is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. Prior to joining Sungkyunkwan University, she was an Associate Professor at Soongsil University. Her honors include the Minister’s Award and the Excellence Award for Young Scientists from the Korean Government, the Global Ph.D. Fellowship, the Women Techmakers Fellowship from Google, the Qualcomm Innovation Award from Qualcomm, the Best Paper Award from the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, as well as the KICS Academic Excellence Award and the KICS Haedong Best Paper Award. Prof. Kwon’s research focuses on intelligent decision-making systems, with particular emphasis on physical AI systems, including autonomous. Her interdisciplinary research integrates advanced artificial intelligence methodologies with systems engineering principles to address complex real-world challenges. Her work contributes to the advancement of reliable, efficient, and scalable intelligent systems across diverse application domains.
