Ruwen Qin is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Stony Brook University. She received her Ph.D. degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2007, and her M.S. and B.E. degrees from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2003 and 1999, respectively. Her research focuses on sensing, deep learning, and optimization methods for intelligent vehicles and intelligent transportation infrastructure. She is an author/co-author of over 100 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. She is a member of IEEE and ASCE.
