Shan Bao is a Professor and Department Chair of Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, and a Research Professor at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. She received her PhD from the University of Iowa in 2009 and her BSE degree from Hefei University of Technology in 2000. She is a member of IEEE, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and TRB. She is the author/coauthor of over 100 papers and an inventor of multiple patents.
