Bio:
Tai Fei (Senior Member, IEEE) is Interim Professor of Computer Vision and Robotics at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Maritime University, China, in 2005, and the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. From 2009 to 2012, he was a Research Associate at Hochschule Bremen in collaboration with TU Darmstadt, working on sonar-based underwater mine detection, and in 2013 he joined the University of Bremen as a Research Associate. From 2014 to 2023, he was a Development Engineer at HELLA, contributing to advancements in automotive radar technology. He has authored more than 90 scientific publications and is the inventor of 11 granted patents. Dr. Fei serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Sensors Journal and IEEE Access. He was Lead Guest Editor for a special issue of the IEEE Sensors Journal, co-chaired special sessions at IEEE Radar 2023 and IEEE SAM 2024, is a Program Committee member of ICST 2024, will chair a special session at EUSIPCO 2025, and co-authored the Best Paper at GeMiC 2024.
