T-ITS Editorial Board Member

Xianfeng (Terry) Yang is a Associate Professor in Transportation Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He received his M.S. and PhD from University of Maryland in 2011 and 2015 respectively and his BSc degree from Tsinghua University in 2009. His current research areas include AI and ML for transportation modeling, traffic operations, smart mobility, autonomous vehicle control, traffic safety, transportation planning, etc. He is the recipient of the prestigious NSF CAREER award in 2021. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed research articles in journals and conferences. He is the Chair of the ASCE AI for Transportation Committee.
