Austria Chapter

The ITSS Austrian Section was founded in 2019 by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Cristina Olaverri-Monreal to foster collaboration among Austrian stakeholders in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The section serves as a platform connecting industry and academia, aiming to strengthen the ITS domain in Austria.

With a particular focus on young professionals, the section actively promotes participation in international networks and conferences. Through regular national meetings, it strives to build a sustainable ITS community in Austria and establish its presence in the region.

The chapter’s core activities are based on multiple technical meetings annually. Additionally, it actively encourages Austrian participation in IEEE ITS flagship conferences, such as the Intelligent Vehicle Symposium (IV) and the International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC).
