The chapter’s core activities are based on several technical meetings per year. Furthermore, the chapter promotes participation from Austria at the IEEE ITS flagship conferences, namely the Intelligent Vehicle Symposium (IV) and the International Conference on Intelligent Transportation (ITSC).

- ITS Chapters Region 8 Meeting (November)
Furthermore, the members and young professionals of the chapter published several papers at the flagship conferences and journals of the IEEE ITS.
