Chair: Li Li
Co-Chair(s): Onur Altintas
Advisor: Dongpu Cao

Short Description

Foster research and professional activities on issues / challenges related to connected vehicles and cooperative driving in order to improve the driving safety / efficiency of intelligent vehicles and the performance of traffic systems.

Goal

Build upon a proper environment to disseminate knowledge and research findings, and motivate interactions among the technical and scientific communities, practitioners and students, allowing state-of-the-art concepts and advances to be further developed and enhanced.

Committee Activities

  1. Continue to organize new special sessions on Connected and Cooperative Vehicles at IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, IEEE Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems, and other conferences
  2. Continue to organize new special issues on Connected and Cooperative Vehicles at IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, and other publications
  3. Hold online workshops and symposiums frequently to exchange new ideas quickly

We really appreciate that we could update the committee members from time to time. Many researchers aim to join us. We could do far more things if the committee could grow up.

Milestones

  • Two special sessions for Connected & Cooperative Vehicles (one is Interactive Poster session, and the other is Oral session) was successfully held at IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium 2023.
  • One ordinary session (Cooperative systems) and three special session (SS15: Traffic Control and Connected Autonomous Vehicles: benefits for efficiency, safety and beyond; SS16: Cooperative Driving in Mixed Traffic; SS25: Leveraging Data in Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) enabled by Edge and Cloud) was successfully held at IEEE Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems 2023.
  • Hold a special issue: “Modelling, Learning and Control of Conventional, Cooperative and Automated Motorway and Urban Traffic Systems” (MLCATS) on Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Techniques.
