We are a Joint Communications Chapter in the greater Seattle area. A lot of our members work for large companies and universities, but we also have individuals from smaller companies.

Chapter Activities
Our chapter hosts a good mix of in-person technical and networking activities and virtual hosted and co-hosted activities. We collaborate with the Portugal ComSoc Chapter (our Twin Chapter) on a variety of technical activities. Here are some recent and upcoming chapter activities:
Hosted a virtual talk on “IEEE 802 LMSC Standards for Scholars and Students” by Prof. Tunçer Baykas on Feb. 17, 2026.
Co-hosted a virtual DLT on “Towards Secure and Sustainable Non-Terrestrial Networks to Bridge Earth and Space” by Prof. Gunes Karabulut on March. 24, 2026.
DLT talk by Prof. Rui Dinis on “A Look Beyond Massive MIMO – Working with a Huge Number of Antennas” on April 20, 2026 at T-Mobile Corporate Office, Seattle.
