Dr. Xiaosong Hu received his doctoral degree from Beijing Institute of Technology, awarded with Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation of Beijing. During his PhD study, he had two-year visiting study at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and the University of California, Berkeley, USA. He is currently a professor at Chongqing University and Deputy Director of Chongqing Automotive Collaborative Innovation Center. Over the years, he has led/participated in 6 national-level projects and 7 provincial-level key projects, published more than 180 SCI papers, with over 27,000 citations and an H-index of 94, and holds 46 granted invention patents of China. Dr. Hu has received 9 important awards, including the first prize of Chongqing Natural Science Award (ranked 1st), the first prize of the China Simulation Society Natural Science Award (ranked 1st), and the Automotive Transmission/Driveline Innovation Award of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) (ranked 1st). He has also been honored with the Higher Education Youth Science Award from the Huo Yingdong Foundation of the Ministry of Education, the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Young Researcher Award, and the Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher (2019-2023), etc. He is an IEEE Fellow and IET Fellow.
