Bio:
Beshah Ayalew is a Professor of Automotive Engineering at the Clemson University-International Center for Automotive Research. He received his MS (2000) and Ph.D. (2005) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University. His interest and expertise is in control systems and dynamics with applications in automated and connected vehicle traffic systems and energy systems. Dr. Ayalew received SAE's Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award (2014), the Clemson University Board of Trustees Award for Faculty Excellence (2012), and the NSF CAREER Award (2011). He was a recipient of the Penn State Alumni Association Dissertation Award (2005). He is a Fellow of ASME, and a member of IEEE?s Control Systems Society, and SAE. He has authored/co-authored more than 150 refereed papers.
