Chen Lv is an Assistant Professor at School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, and the Cluster Director in Future Mobility Solutions at ERI@N, Singapore. He received his PhD degree at Department of Automotive Engineering, Tsinghua University, China in January 2016. He was a joint PhD researcher at EECS Dept., University of California, Berkeley, USA during 2014-2015, and worked as a Research Fellow at Advanced Vehicle Engineering Center, CranfieldUniversity, UK during 2016-2018. He joined NTU and founded the Automated Driving and Human-Machine System (AutoMan) Research Group since June 2018. His research focuses on automated driving, human-machine system, and intelligent transportation systems, where he has contributed 2 books, 2 book chapters, over 100 papers and obtained 12 granted patents and 1 technology disclosure. Dr. Lv serves as an Academic Editor/Editorial Board Member for International Journal of Vehicle Autonomous Systems, SAE International Journal of Electrified Vehicles, Frontiers in Mechanical Engineering, etc. and a Guest Editor for IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, Applied Energy, IEEE Sensors Journal and etc. He received many awards and honors, selectively including the Highly Commended Paper Award of IMechE UK in 2012, the Japan NSK Outstanding Mechanical Engineering Paper Award in 2014, the China SAE Outstanding Paper Award in 2015, the 1st Class Award of China Automotive Industry Scientific and Technological Invention in 2015, Tsinghua University Graduate Student Academic Rising Star Nomination Award in 2015, Tsinghua University Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award in 2016, the Seal of Excellence of EU H2020 Marie Sk?odowska-Curie Actions in 2017, the Best Workshop/Special Session Paper Award of IEEE Intelligent Vehicle Symposium in 2018, Automotive Innovation Best Paper Award in 2020, and Winner of the INTERPRET Challenge in NeurIPS 2020 competitions.
