T-ITS Editorial Board Member

Chuan Ding is an Associate Professor of Transportation Science and Engineering at Beihang University, China. He received his Masters and PhD from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2011 and 2014 respectively and his BSc degree from Chongqing Jiaotong University in 2009. He studied as a joint Ph.D. student in the National Center for Smart Growth at University of Maryland, College Park for one year (2012-2013). He also worked as a Hong Kong scholar in Department of Geography at Hong Kong Baptist University for one year (2016-2017). His research interests are technology developments, system modeling, and energy and equity impacts analysis of automated, connected, electrical and shared transportation for smart city. He received several awards including Excellent Young Scientist in Transportation by Ministry of Transport, China, and Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by China Association for Science and Technology. He also serves as an Associate Editor or Editorial Board member for some peer-reviewed journals including Transportation Research Part D, Travel Behaviour and Society, Transactions in Urban Data, Science, and Technology.
