Dewang Chen (M?06-SM?14) received hi PhD in control theory and control engineering from the Graduate University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003. He is professor at State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, Beijing Jiaotong University from Nov 2011 to March 2015. Since April 2015, he is a Minjiang Distinguished Professor in College of Mathematics and Computer Science, Fuzhou University. Since April 2016, he is also a dean of Rail Traffic Research Institute of Fuzhou University. His research interests include train control system, machine learning, computational intelligence and intelligent transportation systems. Dr. Chen was the visiting scholar of University of California, Berkeley in 2009, the recipient of the New Scientific Star in Beijing in 2010 and the Best Paper Award from Beijing Association for Automation and Beijing Association for Science and Technology in 2013, the winner of Young Scientist Award of Zhan Tianyou (Father of Chinese Railway) fund in 2015. He is currently serving as an active reviewer for more than 10 journals, as TPC chair/member for more than 20 conferences. He has published 3 monographs and more than 70 peer-reviewed papers (more than 20 papers are SCI indexed) and chaired over 10 technical sessions or workshops.
