Gerald Ostermayer is a Professor of Communications Engineering at University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Head of the Research Group networks & mobility, and Head of the degree program Automotive Computing. He received his Dipl.-Ing. and Dr. degrees from University of Technology Vienna 1992 and 1998 respectively. He worked for Siemens as a Project Manager and has been with the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria since 2005. He is a member of IEEE. He is the author/coauthor of some 70 Journal and conference papers in the fields of connected vehicles, mobile communications, and wireless sensing, and holds 7 patents.
