Bio:
Dr. Jun Li a Full Professor in the School of Automation, Southeast University, Nanjing, China. He is the director of the Robotics and Intelligent Systems (RiSYS) Lab. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with Southeast University. In 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ, USA. He has been the Principal Investigator of twenty research projects. He has published over 50+ papers on the top journals such as Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Transactions onCybernetics and conferences. He holds five patents that received industrial applications. His current research interests include discrete event systems, optimization and scheduling, computer vision, machine learning, autonomous vehicles, and logistics robotics.Dr. Li has been serving as a peer reviewer of over ten international journals including IEEE T ITS. He was a recipient of the Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award of Southeast University in 2009, the Phoenix Contract-Southeast University Teaching Award in 2011, the Outstanding Young Teacher Foundation Award of Southeast University in 2014, and the Best Paper Award of the 12th IEEE International Conference on Networking, Sensing and Control in 2015. He was selected as a High-Level Talent of the Jiangsu Provincial Six Talent Peaks Program in 2016. He was invited to lecture in the IEEE Northern New Jersey Section, National Central University, Academic Annual Meeting of Xiamen Automation Society, and Jiangxi University of Science and Technology. He served as a Program Committee Member of several IEEE conferences and co-host of an international workshop on Discrete Event System Control and Optimization in Southeast University.
