Bio:
Kyongsu Yi received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, in 1985 and 1987, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1992. He is currently a Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, Korea and Director of the Future Mobility Technology Center, Seoul National University, Korea. He has been conducting research in the area of vehicle dynamics and control since 1990. He had received several academic awards: BEST PAPER AWARD in 2015 International Symposium on Future Active Safety Technology FAST, Gothenburg, Sweden, 2010 SAE Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Engineering Award, 2012 SAE World congress, CEP Best Paper Award in 18th IFAC World Congress, Milan, Italy, 2011.9.2, and Best paper Award in the International Symposium on Advanced Vehicle Control AVEC2008, Japan, 2008. He served as 2011 IEEE ITSC Program Chair, Washington DC, USA, 2011.10.5-7, Vice Chair, 7th IFAC Symposium on Advances in Automotive Control September 4-7, 2013, Tokyo, Japan, Program Chair of IEEE ITSC 2014, Tshingdao, China, and General Chair of IEEE IV Symposium 2015, Seoul, Korea. He is member of SAE, ASME, IEEE, KSME and KSAE. He is the author/coauthor of over 50 papers.
