Bio:
Nikolaos Paterakis received the Dipl. Eng. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering and management from the University of Beira Interior, Covilha, Portugal, in 2015. From October 2015 to March 2017, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests encompass the development and application of large-scale optimization and artificial intelligence techniques to address cross-sectoral energy transition challenges, including transportation, with an emphasis on electric mobility. He has co-authored more than 95 publications. He is an Associate Editor of the IET Renewable Power Generation, Elsevier e-Prime and a Review Editor of Frontiers in Energy Research (Smart Grids). He has also been serving as a Reviewer of more than 30 journals, while he was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer of IEEE Transactions Sustainable Energy (2016) and as one of the Best Reviewers of IEEE Transactions Smart Grid (2015, 2017). Dr. Paterakis is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
