Ning Sun is a Full Professor of Nankai University, China, and the Director of the Underactuated Robots Lab (URL). He received the B.S. degree from Wuhan University, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree from Nankai University, China, in 2014. He was a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow between 2018 and 2019. He is an IEEE Senior Member. He is the authorcoauthor of more than 180 papers. He received many academic awards, including the 2021 IEEE Outstanding Paper Award for the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics.
