Dr. Reza Malekian (CEng) is a Full-Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Malmo University, Sweden and an Extraordinary Professor and immediate past head of Advanced Sensor Networks Research Group in Department of Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering, University of Pretoria. His research focuses on Internet of Things and connectivity in Intelligent Transportation Systems. Having many years? experience in teaching and research in both the university and the industry sectors, he has maintained an active research programme and provided supervision and mentorship to several doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, under industry and government funding. He has published over 170 scholarly articles, conference papers, and book chapters and some of his articles are highly cited on the Web of Science and ranked among the top 1% based on the highly cited threshold for the academic field. He is Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Fellow of the British Computer Society. He is serving as Associate Editor for IEEE Transaction on Intelligent Transportation Systems and IEEE Internet of Things Journal. He was also a guest editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Sensors Journal, and Elsevier Computer Networks.
