Bio:
Dr. Sahil Garg is a currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at cole de technologie suprieure (TS), Montreal, Canada; and a MITACS Intern at the Global AI Accelerator, Ericsson, Montreal. He got his Ph.D. degree from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India, in 2018; where he was the recipient of a prestigious Visvesvaraya PhD fellowship from the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India. He is also a visiting researcher with the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore. His research interests are mainly in the areas of Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Knowledge Discovery, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Software Defined Networking, and Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks. He has over 80 publications in high ranked Journals and Conferences, including 50+ top-tier journal papers and 30+ reputed conference articles. He has been awarded the IEEE ICC best paper award in 2018 at Kansas City, Missouri. He is currently a Managing Editor of Springer's Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS) journal. He is also an Associate Editor of IEEE Network Magazine, IEEE Systems Journal, Elsevier's Future Generation Computer Systems (FGCS), Elsevier's Applied Soft Computing (ASoC), and Wiley's International Journal of Communication Systems (IJCS). In addition, he also serves as the Workshops and Symposia Officer for the IEEE ComSoc Emerging Technology Initiative on Aerial Communications. He guest editedediting a number of special issues in top-cited journals including IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (T-ITS), IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (TII), IEEE Internet of Things (IoT) Journal, IEEE Network Magazine, Future Generation Computer Systems (Elsevier), Neural Computing and Applications (Springer), etc. He also serves as the special sessionsworkshop chair and publication chair for CCCI'20 and ICICC'20, respectively. He is also the workshop chairpublicity co-chair for several IEEEACM conferences including IEEE Infocom, IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, ACM MobiCom, etc. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and IAENG; and also actively involved in various technical societies including IEEE Communications Society, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, IEEE Smart Grid Community, etc.
