Bio:
Samer Hani Hamdar is an Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the George Washington University (GW) and the Director of the GW Transportation Program. He received his Master of Science (MSc) Degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree from Northwestern University in 2004 and 2008 respectively and his Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Degree from the American University of Beirut in 2003. He is a member of the IEEE Society and the Transportation Research Board Emergency Evacuation and Traffic Flow Theory and Characteristics Committees. He is the authorco-author of more than 30 book chaptersjournal publications and 30 additional conference papers.
