Stephan Olariu is a Professor of Computer Science at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. He received his Bachelors, Masters and PhD from McGill University, Montreal, in 1980, 1982 and 1986, respectively. Over the years, Dr. Olariu has held many different roles and responsibilities as a member of numerous organizations and teams. Much of his experience has been with the design and implementation of robust protocols for intelligent transportation systems and their applications to smart cities. His most recent research interests are in the area of vehicular clouds. He has published extensively in IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. Dr. Olariu is the authorcoauthor of 4 books and over 350 papers.
