T-ITS Editorial Board Member

Xianbiao (XB) Hu is an Assistant Professor at Pennsylvania State University, in its Department of Civil and Environmental engineering. Prior to that, he was an Assistant Professor at Missouri University of Science and Technology, and a founding team member and Director of R&D at Metropia Inc. He received PhD degree from the University of Arizona in 2013. His research focuses on Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Traffic Flow and System Modeling, as well as Mobility Behavior Modeling and Management. He has published over 70 papers at journals and conference proceedings. He is a member of TRB Committee Research Coordinators Leadership Council (CRCC), and the CRC for Maintenance and Operations Management committee. He is a standing committee member of the Impacts of Information and Communication Technologies on Travel Choices as well. He is currently an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Transportation Science and Technology, and was awarded the Excellent Associate Editor of the journal in 2021.
