Bio:
Yiannis Kamarianakis is a Principal Researcher of Data Science at Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas, Institute of Applied & Computational Mathematics (IACM FORTH). He received his Masters from Athens University of Economics and Business in 2000 and his BSc and PhD degrees from University of Crete in 1998 and 2007 respectively. He is the authorcoauthor of over 30 papers. In addition to his published research, Dr Kamarianakis has worked on the development of IBM's Traffic Prediction Tool and has filed 3 U.S. Patents. Before joining IACM-FORTH, Dr Kamarianakis worked as Assistant Professor at the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Arizona State University (2013-2018), as a postdoc researcher at the Mathematical Sciences Department, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center (2010-2013), and as a postdoc at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Cornell University (2008-2010).
