Dr. Zhigang Liu received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He is currently a Full Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University from 2006. He has authored three books and authored or coauthored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His research interests focus on the electrification and intellectualization of rail transit, special the relationship of EMUs and traction network in, such as intelligent detection and assessment, electrical safety protection. He was elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) in 2017. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, and IEEE ACCESS. He was a recipient of the IEEE TIM’s Outstanding Associate Editors for 2019 and 2020, and the Outstanding Reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement 2018. He won the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, Sichuan Youth Science and Technology Award, Special Prize of China Railway Society, Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education, National Hundred Excellent Doctoral Disseration Nominations, China Electric Power Excellent Technologist Award, Mao Yisheng Railway Science and Technology Award, Zhan Tianyou Special Fund Award, etc.
