Zoran Duric

Bio:
Zoran Duric is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax, Virginia. He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1986, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland (UMD) at College Park in 1995. He joined the faculty of GMU in the Fall of 1997 as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science. He has published over 80 technical papers on various topics including computer vision, information hiding, and video processing. He has developed techniques and algorithms for solving problems in motion understanding, video surveillance, human computer interaction, and information hiding. Most recently the focus of his research has been the study and simulation of human movement. He is an Area Editor of the Pattern Recognition Journal and a member of the Editorial Board of the IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems. He is a Senior member of IEEE.
