Standards ensure the safety, quality and reliability of products and services. IEEE standards activities are open for each individual and entity from industry, academia and authorities. The Standards Committee of IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS/SC) targets industry-driven standards with prominent deployment potential that entail substantial benefits for the ITS/automotive industry and the society as a whole. It also provides strong support for the IEEE standards development in the domain of ITS (all modes).

Since 2023, ITSS/SC, as Sponsor Committee or co-sponsor, has supported six IEEE PARs (Project Authorization Requests). IEEE ITSS members and non-members are highly encouraged to be involved in the ongoing and new standards development activities.

This Webinar will introduce ITS-related IEEE standards activities and funding opportunities, share standards knowledge and experience, and engage volunteers to be involved in standards development and to become standards experts.
